In an October 25, 1940 interview with the Family Circle magazine, William Moulton Marston discussed the unfulfilled potential of the medium. An American a psychologist already famous for inventing the polygraph, struck upon an idea for a new kind of superhero, one who would triumph not with fists or firepower, but with love.
Created during World War II, the character was initially depicted fighting the Axis military forces. She possesses superhuman strength and the power of flight, and a magic lasso that can force people to speak the truth, inspired by the creators involvement with polygraphs.
Hooptie Wonder Woman, can climb any hill, dodge any car and with her magic chainring, she can inspire and unite the varying commuters of the world.
