ARTCRANK is an international art show that stages live events featuring bicycle-inspired posters created by local artists. Artists create an original poster design about bikes and what cycling means in their lives. This poster was done by Josh Higgins, a humble designer from SoCal who got his design start in San Diego and quickly skyrocketed to design fame as the creative director for Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign. The original poster read “California | Los Angeles | Viva La Velorution!”— and if there is one word that would describe the bike community in Los Angeles it’s most certainly “Velorution.”
